VGA-7 è il primo amplificatore per chitarra digitale che Roland realizza utilizzando l’impareggiabile tecnologia COSM . VGA-7 è anche il primo amplificatore GK-ready, cioè utilizza la connessione 13-pin per GK-2AH oltre all’ingresso standard jack per una normale chitarra. Utilizzando il pick-up esafonico GK-2A (opzionale) si accede alla sezione COSM Guitar Modelling che simula 26 tipi di chitarre – elettriche, acustiche, hollow body e virtual analog synth e consente di creare accordature aperte grazie ad un Pitch Shifter polifonico. Attraverso il GK-2AH o la connessione standard jack si si entra nella sezione di simulazione che comprende ben 20 amplificatori COSM: tube, solid state e ampli per chitarre acustiche, con simulazione di speaker e cabinet.
